Morgan Barfield has lived and worked in the Tampa Bay area most of his life. He received a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University in three years and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Florida in two and a half years.
Mr. Barfield carries the same drive he relied on in graduating years ahead of schedule into his practice. He is admitted in the State of Florida as well as the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida. Mr. Barfield has a widely diverse background specializing in litigating matters relating to personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, dog bites, products liability, wrongful death, workers compensation, insurance coverage, sinkhole disputes, construction law, bankruptcy, contract law and general civil litigation.
Mr. Barfield possesses jury and bench trial experience in personal injury, workers compensation and insurance litigation which provides his clients with the requisite knowledge necessary to properly evaluate, litigate and value a claim.
Through his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Barfield has deposed witnesses in the fields of orthopedics, neurology, chiropractic medicine, neuro-radiology, traffic homicide, maintenance of traffic, cardiology, opthomology, plastic surgery, autopsy physicians, geology, geophysics, forensics, accident reconstruction, fire origin, general contracting and structural and electrical engineering.
Mr. Barfield spent the majority of his career representing statewide insurance companies and corporations of all sizes including State Farm, Mercury, Travelers, Nationwide, AMC Theaters and Enterprise Rent-A-Car to name a few. Mr. Barfield has been involved in drafting the language of numerous insurance policies in Florida as well asa number of Florida Statutes and appeals. It is this experience that gives Mr. Barfield the unique insight of the inner workings of insurance companies and how they evaluate claims. Mr. Barfield takes pride in the fact that this insight ensures that his clients’ claims receive the proper attention and significance they deserve and ultimately, the top dollar value to which they are entitled.
